Santa Barbara Red Rock 40 Mile Trail Run
Things you need to know
The residents of the Santa Barbara area are extremely fire sensitive - with good reason - please be careful and respectful
Mandatory runners meeting will be on the start / finish line on Saturday, November 27 at 5:30 a.m. the run will start at 6:00 a.m. sharp - it will be dark - bring a flashlight
The drive from Santa Barbara is about one hour - on a windy mountain road - plan accordingly
Bring your drop bags to the start / finish area at 5:00 a.m. on race day. Drop bags will be transported to Camino Cielo and Romero Canyon only. Drop bags may be returned to the start / finish area at the volunteers convenience. Drop bags will not be mailed to you after the event. Do not put anything of value in your drop bags - may not not see that bag again.
All runners must carry a minimum of 60 oz of fluid - 3 bottles
water only aid will be at miles 9, 16, 24 and 31
full aid will be at miles 12, 20 and 28
SUCCEED ULTRA and SCAPS! will be at full aid stations
no pacers
We assume that every entrant intends to complete the entire 40 mile distance - there will be no 20 mile finishers list.
If you decide to leave the race course you must check in at an aid station and sign out.
Results will be posted here and submitted to Ultra Running Magazine.
